At the beginning of the new year, SEACON has had a great start, completing three significant milestones for three ships in just three days.

The 18,500 DWT Chemical/Oil Tanker Successfully Launched

On January 19th, the 18,500 DWT chemical/oil tanker (DN517-1), built by Fujian Shipbuilding's Southeast Shipyard, was successfully launched. This vessel is the first newly constructed chemical tanker in the SEACON self-operated fleet. The ship has an overall length of 149.8 meters, a width of 22.8 meters, and a depth of 12.7 meters, with a designed draft of 8.5 meters. It is primarily used for transporting finished oils, vegetable oils, and bulk chemicals (Class II and III) that meet IBC standards, with a flash point ≤ 60°C, featuring shallow draft and large cargo capacity, suitable for unrestricted navigational areas. The ship adopts a methanol dual-fuel design concept, meeting the IMO Tier III emission standards and can be retrofitted in the future to operate on clean energy methanol fuel.

The 42,000 DWT Bulk Carrier Launched and Named

On January 20th, the 42,000 DWT bulk carrier built by Tsuneishi Shipbuilding & Engineering Co., Ltd. in Japan held its launching and naming ceremony. The godmother, Ms. Dai Yan, named the ship "Seacon Liverpool". Representatives from Tsuneishi Shipbuilding including President Okumura Yukimasa, Mr. Zhuang Wei, General Manager of the Baltic Exchange Asia Pacific, and other parties attended the ceremony.

The "Seacon Liverpool" belongs to the TESS42 series, with a length of 180 meters, a width of 32.2 meters, a depth of 15.4 meters, a cargo hold capacity of 52,400 cubic meters, a draft of 10.75 meters, and a total tonnage of 26,700 tons. It boasts excellent loading performance and fuel efficiency, meeting Tier III regulations and environmental protection laws. The ship's holds can carry iron ore, grains, coal, hot-rolled coil plates, sulfur, and other goods. With the use of fixed devices on deck, it can also load timber, fully demonstrating the versatility and environmental performance of the TESS42 series, meeting the market demand for larger vessels.

The 13,500 DWT Multipurpose Vessel Successfully Delivered

On January 21st, SEACON Group announced another piece of good news: the 13,500 DWT multipurpose vessel built by Murakami Shipbuilding & Machinery Works Co., Ltd. was officially delivered. Mr. Hideharu Murakami, President of Murakami Shipbuilding & Machinery Works Co., Ltd., and Mr. Yang Xintiān, CEO of Cetus Maritime, among other guests, witnessed the event. The godmother, Virginia Moore, named the ship "Seacon Nagoya". This ship is the second sister ship built at Murakami Shipbuilding following the "Seacon Yokohama", showcasing the group's exceptional capability in managing and operating various types of ships.

In just three days, the completion of these three major milestones fully demonstrates Interocean's outstanding competence in managing and operating multiple types of ships.

Looking ahead, SEACON Group will continue to drive service innovation, optimize service quality, and provide more advanced, efficient, and environmentally friendly transportation solutions for the global shipping market.
